Throw Back Thursday! This 1938 aerial view clearly shows the location of Winthrop's two forts, Fort Health & Fort Banks. They both were built in the 1890s to defend Boston Harbor from an enemy naval attack. The narrow-gauge tracks defined the marsh side of Fort Banks until 1940. pic.twitter.com/ATLR3mkcU9
